Player 1, what about
homework?
Player 2 told us about the
Oscar awards
(prize, trophy) ceremony. She told us who got the Oscar to best
actor and actress in the leading role. (The main actor, the most important
in the story). She also told us about the dresses the actresses
wore. She liked
Angelina Jolie’s the best (her favourite dress was Angelina Jolie’s). Finally,
she told us about the Oscar to the best movie and to the best animated feature
movie.
But you didn’t know why the statuettes are called “Oscars”. The popular
theory is that Margaret Herrick, Academy Award librarian and future Director of
the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences gave the statuette the name. When
she first saw the statue in 1931, she said that it looked like (was similar to) her
Uncle Oscar.
Player 3 told us about the
Eurovision Contest.
This year the Eurovision Song Contest will be celebrated in Denmark, because last year’s winner was Danish. Semi-Finals of the 59th Eurovision Song Contest are going
to take place on Tuesday 6th and Thursday 8th of May, the Final is scheduled
for Saturday, the 10th of May. Some 170 million people from over 40 countries
are expected to watch the contest .Thirty-seven
countries have confirmed participation.
Player 3 enjoys watching
the festival with her friends.
Player4 told us about “La voz”, a song contest on Spanish
TV. Her favourite singers are two twins coached by David Bisbal. This
program is broadcasted on channel 5. There are about 45
contestants and three coaches.
Player 5 talked about a
type of wrestling
(fighting)
called WWE, although he doesn’t know what WWE stands for! This isn’t really a sport but a show.
We finished the class talking about the weather.

My season fabourite is the summer .Because do they very hot.I am go to pool and I am not go to school.In summer I go to my village with my grandparents.Also go my cousins and we are together very days.We ride,a bike we goes to the pool, play football and basketball.My fathers,my brothers and me go ten days to the beach for the hollidays.I am like when we are together in the beach.
